jetta SG How long will you be in Sg for? What's the shopping scene like in Oz? Clothes fit better? Prices high or not? Trendy styles?
Rhonda SG Trendy is definitely NOT the word you'll use in Melbourne! When I first got here and saw the clothes in the display windows, I was like... tamade... those things were in fashion when I was a teenager like donkey years ago, BC!! Nothing trendsetting, all 'classics' and undated type of clothes. I wait for discounts then I'll shop at K-mart or Target. Sometimes, I'll see something I like and get it at the Bridge Road shops. Trying not to spend too much but I do have to get clothes for Autumn and Winter, especially! Easy for me to get shoes here! I can have my pick! In Singapore, I suffer from a shoe drought! Here, I'm so happy with the shoe scene that I now have more than 20 pairs of shoes! I'm considered 'Average' here so it's really a breeze getting clothes and stuff!
elindra SG Glad to see u are enjoying yrself Rhonda and I can't wait to see you again!!!! Btw who wants free HP sauce

jetta SG I just love shoes, period. Lately, I'm in love with a brand called Aerosoles. They originally started making shoes for dancers so you can imagine just how comfy they are. I bought a pair of flat ballet ones because I'm on my feet at work. Super comfy!
elindra SG AEROSOLES!! I love their shoes !!!!! Expensive in SG though I got a pair of dress shoes from them and wore them till they couldn't be repaired anymore
the Bear SG when i go to melbourne again, i'm going to go buy myself a pair of blundstones again... they're workboots.. heavy, brutal, and very comfortable
jetta SG High 5! I wish Americans had the habit of visiting the cobbler. I debated for so long over the pair I got. They were US$79 that's why I took so long to process that decision. I absolutely love how comfortable they are. The salesperson was sooooo nice to me. You know what she did? She brought out 10 pairs of shoes in various styles, they were scattered all over the floor and I had a blast trying them all. I love the service you get here (most of the time.)
elindra SG They have AEROSOLES in Singapore too I paid $125 for my heels and they beat Charles & Keith etc so many times hands down My friends were like @@
the Bear SG interesting thing i came across: Putt's Law: Technology is dominated by two types of people: those who understand what they do not manage, and those who manage what they do not understand.
Fatum SG Originally posted by the Bear: interesting thing i came across: Putt's Law: Technology is dominated by two types of people: those who understand what they do not manage, and those who manage what they do not understand. that sounds like material out of some MBA program ... I was told that MBA programs will tell you that it's not neccessary to know the tech to manage a technology business .... so we have the curious situation of business majors ordering boffins around in many places ...
